You can have your systems remotely monitored for hardware failure using secure technology that's been proven at thousands of companies around the world. In many cases, you can avoid problems before they occur.

HP Insight Remote Support Standard, is the ideal solution for small to mid-size environments that do not require an infrastructure management platform. Included as part of your HP warranty, HP Care Pack Service, or HP contractual support agreement, HP Insight Remote Support Standard helps you do more with less.

Q1. Is there a fee to use HP Insight Remote Support Standard?
A1. HP Insight Remote Support Standard is available at no extra cost as part of your warranty, HP Care Pack Service or contractual support agreement with HP.
Q2. How secure is HP Insight Remote Support Standard?
A2. HP Insight Remote Support Standard requires access to an encrypted outbound initiated Internet connection (HTTPS/443) only. The secured technology used should be acceptable within most company's security policies.
Q3. What data is collected and how is this data used?
A3. HP Insight Remote Support collects configuration information from your devices to help HP resolve problems more quickly and accurately. No business information is collected and the data is managed according to HP’s Data Privacy policy. For more details, see the security brochure.
Q4. What should I do if I have more than 50 servers to monitor?
A4. HP Insight Remote Support Advanced will support up to 1400 monitored devices per Central Management server, and is integrated with HP Systems Insight Manager. A dedicated Windows server is recommended to host both HP Insight Remote Support Advanced and HP Systems Insight Manager. Optionally, an intelligent link can be configured for integration with HP Operations Manager for Windows and HP-UX. Please refer to the comparison table for additional details.
Q5. Where do I get support for HP Insight Remote Support Standard?
A5. It is always advisable that you read the HP Insight Remote Support Standard Release Notes for information on the supported products and prerequisites. The HP Insight Remote Support Standard Quick Start Guide is designed to help and guide you through a successful installation and configuration. However, if you need further support for HP Insight Remote Support Standard, then contact your local HP Response Center. Please refer to www.hp.com/services/iseemigration for contact details.
Q6. Can I still have my preferred local HP Authorized Support Provider to deliver my HP contract or warranty service for me?
A6. HP Insight Remote Support (version A.05.30 and beyond) now contains a new Service Providers tab that allows you specify your preferred HP Authorized Support Provider by device. This feature is currently introduced on a country-by-country basis and may not yet be available in your country. If some or all of your support is delivered by a service provider on behalf of HP, as your preference, please contact that provider to determine if this service is available and to obtain instructions on how to complete this screen.
