Overview

HP Insight Power Manager (IPM) is an integrated power monitoring and management application that provides centralized control of server power consumption and thermal output at the datacenter level. It extends the capacity of datacenters by enabling you to reduce the amount of power and cooling required for ProLiant and Integrity servers. Built on HP Power Regulator Technology, it extends new server energy instrumentation levers into HP Systems Insight Manager for greater Unified Infrastructure Management.

What's new

Electronic Redemption Process

Starting in November 2007, a license entitlement certificate will be delivered in place of a license activation key. The license entitlement certificate will be delivered via physical shipment for existing product numbers (with the exception of tracking licenses) and via e-mail for the new electronic license product numbers. It will contain information needed to redeem license activation key(s) online or via fax. This new electronic redemption process will allow for easier license management and better service and support tracking. For more information, please visit http://www.hp.com/go/ICe-license.
