The iLO2 Driver Did Not Get Installed Even Though The Windows Server 2003 x64 Deployments Are Successful

When deploying Windows Server 2003 x64, either via a scripted install or Sysprep imaging, to older ProLiant servers, the job will be successful, but the iLO2 driver will not get installed. This means that there will be no one-time boot support. This issue occurs because the script used to install the included smart components was unable to determine that the target server was a ProLiant.

To resolve this issue, remote desktop to the target server and manually install the included smart components in c:\$oem$\components.

ML310 G4
ML350 G4
ML370 G4
