How To Distribute The HP Server Automation Agent

Article: 20000031

Applies to: All releases

The HP Server Automation Agent allows target servers to be linked to HP Server Automation for application provisioning and ongoing lifecycle management. Once this job is executed on the desired target servers, the servers will be discovered and managed by HP Server Automation.

To create a job that distributes the HP Server Automation Agent to a server running Windows, follow the instructions in the Knowledge Base article How To Install Software Packages And Support Packs (Article 20000042). Use the following values for the Additional command-line switches field in the Distribute Software task: -s --opsw_gw_list coreip:3001 where coreip is the IP address of the server automation core. For more information, see Appendix B: Agent Utilities in the Server Automation User Guide.
