How To Capture A Windows Server 2008 Sysprep Image On A ProLiant Server With An Integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

Article: 20000032

Applies to: Release 3.83 or greater

With integrated TPM enabled and Windows Bitlocker Drive Encryption turned off, a Windows Server 2008 target will be imaged properly.

With integrated TPM enabled and Windows Bitlocker Drive Encryption turned on, a Windows Server 2008 target will not image properly using Sysprep. Capturing an image without using Sysprep can be used, but the image will be captured in raw mode. The image files will be very large and can only be deployed back to the reference server.

NOTE: If Windows Bitlocker Drive Encryption is required, turn on Windows Bitlocker Drive Encryption after deploying a Windows Server 2008 Sysprep image.
