Continuous Consolidation: When customers refresh their server hardware, they can use Insight Dynamics - VSE to forecast their capacity needs and to deploy the new virtual machine hosts as logical servers. When the customer is ready to deploy virtual machines, Insight Dynamics makes it easy to see where to place the new workloads based upon a 5 star rating system. They can easily launch VirtualCenter to make virtual machines part of DRS groups and remove old virtual machines on retired servers from the DRS groups. When the new servers are up and running, customers can use Insight Dynamics - VSE to power down the retired servers.

Everyday High Availability: Insight Dynamics - VSE can predict hardware failures. Integration with VirtualCenter allows the customer to automatically move the virtual machines from that hardware before any downtime occurs. Insight Dynamics - VSE can move the host as a logical server to a spare blade thus bringing the customer quickly back to full capacity.

Dynamic Test and Development: Customers may want to develop and test their applications in a virtual environment but deploy on physical servers. They can tune and configure their test server stack as usual using VirtualCenter. When they are ready to deploy into production, they can use Insight Dynamics - VSE to convert from virtual to physical. This saves many time-consuming steps such as re-creating the server (OS, patches and applications) on the physical server.
