Overview

The HP ProLiant Essentials Intelligent Networking Pack (INP) - Linux Edition is networking software that provides the virus throttle package supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. Virus throttle is capable of detecting and slowing down the rate at which a virus attack spreads inside the core of the network infrastructure. It also provides an extra layer of protection against fast spreading and unknown viruses even when the virus is not detected anti-virus software.

What's new

Enterprise customers
  • Preventing the spread of viruses - ProLiant customers can use INP to monitor network traffic for virus-like activity to slow and limit the rate of connections to "new" machines to slow down the spread of viruses while not affecting normal server usage.
