- Leverage common HP Systems Insight Manager functions and processes for virtual as well as your physical servers - discovery, identification, event notification and handling, role-based access to specific VMs or hosts, scheduling of tasks (VM backups etc) and group-based actions.
- Supports heterogeneous virtualization platforms from VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, and Xen on RHEL & SLES
- Use one console to manage physical and many day-to-day virtualization tasks, avoid having to constantly switch back and forth between multiple management consoles.
- Provide basic virtualization management access to lower-level server administrators without having to provide access to virtualization management consoles such as VirtualCenter.

- With predictive hardware failure alerts from HP SIM, VMM can initiate relocating VMs to other host servers before any downtime occurs.
- No scripts required, comes “out of the box”. List of events that trigger moving VMs can easily be modified, and actions can be automated or set for manual control.
- Integrates with VMware DRS for easy relocation of VMs when an alert is received.
