Overview

The 16X DVD-ROM is the next generation of DVD-ROM for ProLiant servers. It is offered with an industry standard ATAPI interface and supported on WIN2K Advanced Server, WIN2K3 Enterprise, Netware (5.1, 6.0, 6.5), Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1, Red Hat Linux (3.0, 7.2, 7.3, 8.0) and United Linux 1.0.

A DVD-ROM drive is designed to read not only DVD-ROM disks but also CD-ROM/R and DVD-RAM disks. It has a speed of 16X with DVD and 40X when used with CD-ROM/Rs.
