Virtual media expands day to day manageability

Virtual Media allows administrators to map a drive on their workstation to a target server in the datacenter or a remote office to easily install and update firmware, applications and operating systems in heterogeneous environments from the comfort of their desks. Virtual media will even work in a cascaded environment!

More remote users means more access when needed

Increasing the number of remote users that can access an IP Console Switch means quicker resolution when fast action is needed such as anti-virus updates, security patches or even daily maintenance.

Best in class video performance

Best in class video performance makes day to day management easier and more secure.

By using a new compression algorithm HP provides video performance comparable to that of local access easing eye fatigue. The new compression algorithm also allows for three levels of encryption for the video, keyboard, and mouse signals. HP can also encrypt the virtual media!

USB adds flexibility

USB connectivity and USB pass-through eases cable management and allows virtual media functionality when accessing servers locally inside the datacenter by simply attaching a USB storage device directly to the switch. To compliment these Console Switches HP's new TFT7600RKM and 1U Rackmount Keyboard with USB have front USB pass-through ports for added convenience.
