Emergency door opening and MCS fans:
- Two new temperature thresholds will cause the doors of the rack to open and the fans to shut down (if equipped with a door opening magnetic locks). A critical alarm and SNMP trap is issued for either event. Magnetic door lock status is shown on the Overview page. a. An overheating event caused by loss of water flow less than 3.8 l/minute (1 g/minute). An overheating event at least 5ºC above the loss of water flow temperature threshold.
- The MCS fans will be turned off if a leak is detected by the leak detection sensor (not the condensation sensor).
- A new fan control algorithm allows the Hysteresis Value to be set to 0ºC and references the average hot air temp compared to the Server Intake Temperature Set Point instead of using average hot air temperature compared to average cold air temperature.
Two new condensation pump threshold warnings will alert and issues SNMP traps if the pump has run over a specified amount of time or a specified number of pump running cycles.
- Excessive Moisture: Condensation Pump Cycles Warning Threshold.
- Excessive Moisture: Condensation Pump Running Time Warning Threshold.
- The LCD display will show three new messages when conditions exist
"Emergency Door, Heat","Emergency Door, Flow", "Excessive Moisture"
- Support for a second water flow meter type
Temperature range changes:
- The Hysteresis Value is changed from a minimum of 3ºC to 0ºC.
- The Low Temperature Threshold minimum is changed to form 10ºC to 2ºC and maximum is changed from 40ºC to 30ºC.
- The Server Intake Temperature Set Point maximum temperature range is changed from 70ºC to 30ºC.
- The High Temperature Threshold maximum temperature range is changed from 70ºC to 40ºC.
- The Warning Temperature Threshold maximum temperature range is changed from 70ºC to 40ºC.
Additional enhancements:
- Support for an optional external relay module.
- Product ID and serial number can be set from the serial interface, are displayed on the Identification page and will be available via SNMP for HP SIM and other monitoring applications.
- Daylight Saving Time defaults for US/Canadian laws taking affect in 2007.
- DST Begin changed from 3.5.0 to 3.2.0.
- DST End changed from 10.5.0 to 11.1.0.

- The K factor for the type 1 flow meter is changed to increase accuracy of the water flow and cooling capacity (heat removed by the MCS) values. The new K factor will decrease flow and cooling capacity values by approximately 14% from the 1.0 version of the firmware.
- The new variable is added to the management agent and MIB for measurement units of liters or gallons.
- The MIB is corrected to change the water valve status values from 48 for open and 49 for closed to 0 for open and 1 for closed as stated in MIB.
- Temperatures logged that are outside the limits of the sensors will show "--ºC" or "--ºF."
